St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute organizes a Seminar for newly-elected PPC & PFC Members of the Archdiocese

Bangalore, 10th July 2022 : St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute at Malleshwaram in association with the Archdiocese of Bangalore organized a one-day seminar for the newly-elected Pastoral Council and Finance Council Members of the parishes in the Archdiocese of Bangalore on July 10, 2022. More than 250 members from different parishes of the Archdiocese participated in the seminar.

There were 3 sessions during the course of the seminar, in which 3 different papers dealing with various topics were presented. “Glimpses of Synodality,” “Canonical Aspect of Pastoral and Finance Council,” and “Statutes of Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council” were the 3 papers presented by Mrs. Merlyn R Ambrose, Rev. Fr. Sunil D’Souza, and Rev. Fr. Arokiaraj Satish Kumar respectively.



Rev. Fr. Joseph Titus, President of St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, was the Chief Guest.

Rev. Fr. John Abraham, Director of Canon Law Department, Rev. Fr. I. Amal Raj, Treasurer of St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, and Rev. Fr. T. Lourduswamy were Moderators of the sessions.



At the end of each session, participants raised their questions and doubts to which the speakers answered effectively, clearing their qualms about the functioning of the PPCs and PFCs in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Bangalore.
