Minor Seminarians feature splendid performances at their annual day!

Bangalore, January 6, 2020: TThe Rector, staff and students of Bhakti Bhavan, the Archdiocesan Minor Seminary felt exhilarated as they celebrated the annual day of their seminary. More than 12 priests concelebrated the Eucharist along with Most. Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore.


Speaking in his homily, Archbishop Peter exemplified an anecdote from the life of St Andre Bessette who after being admitted to seminary remained 40 years as a humble doorkeeper. The prelate also urged the seminarians to pray constantly to obtain the gift of perseverance in religious life.

There was a cultural program jointly organized by the students of Bhakti Bhavan and Maria Bhavan. Rev. Fr. John Rose, the Parish Priest of Ascension Church, Da Costa Layout was the guest of honor. The students of Maria Bhavan put up an engrossing stage show that narrated the life of Graham Stains, who along with his two sons was burned to death in Odisha. On the other hand, students of Bhakti Bhavan also enacted a play revolving around the theme ‘How an ideal priest should be.’ Besides these, there were other couple of programs too.

Rev. Fr. Arokiaraj Satish Kumar, Rector of Bhakti Bhavan, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Noronha, Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. John Rose and other priests were also present during the program.
