Archbishop blesses the renovated houses in KGF

Bangalore, February 25, 2020: Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, blessed the renovated houses at Our Lady of Victories Church in KGF, Kolara on 25th February 2020. Many priests from the KGF deanery, Sisters and beneficiaries of the housing project were present at the program.

Rev. Fr. Anthony Swamy, Secretary for the Minority Commission of the Archdiocese welcomed the gathering and expressed his joy for being part of the program. The Housing project is being implemented by the Bangalore Multipurpose Social Service Society (BMSSS). Rev. Fr. Joseph Naveen Kumar, Director of BMSSS explained the process of the housing project and efforts undertaken to get the project for the benefit of poor people. He also expressed his gratitude to the Italian Bishops’ Conference for their support without which the houses could not have been built.




Fr. Susai Raj, Dean of KGF narrated the situation of KGF and good works undertaken for the people through the support of the Archbishop of Bangalore. 2 Beneficiaries shared their views on this program and thanked the organization for building good houses for them. Later Archbishop of Bangalore spoke on the situation of KGF and said that KGF is a mini Bethlehem. He has been visiting KGF many times and assured of many more good works to the people of KGF.




Archbishop blessed the gathering and thanked everyone for their presence. A minority cell was inaugurated in the afternoon and blessed by Archbishop.

Mrs. Roopakala Shashidhar, MLA of KGF was present during the program. The House renovation work is one among the many projects undertaken by BMSSS in these years.
