Jigani parish forms it’s first youth group

The Youth of Jigani parish was being enlightened on their role and active participation in the Church. Rev. Fr. Lourduraj, the Youth Director of Karnataka from KROSS visited Our Lady of Health Church, Jigani. He oriented the Youth members of the parish about Youth movements in parishes, Archdiocese, national and international levels.

Speaking to a number of youth, Fr. Lourduraj urged that the Youth must be the torch bearers of the church in making use of the opportunities provided in the Church for their development of personalities. He also invited them to look at the needs of the church as a whole family.

This is the first initiative being taken in the parish of Our Lady of Health, Jigani. Fr. Paneer Kumar, the parish priest thanked all who worked for the program. “Today’s Youth are tomorrow’s Church,” he said. He also requested the parishioners to encourage their children aged 18 – 30 years to be part of the Youth Association of the Parish.
