100,000 hits for the Bangalore Archdiocese website!

Bangalore, January 12, 2020: Come January 14, the archdiocesan website marks a year’s anniversary and just a few hours ago it has reached 100,000 visits. As we are in the media context the communication platforms play an important role in connecting people with the relevant information from time to time. For that matter the Bangalore Archdiocesan website is connecting parishes and people to come to know more about the archdiocesan information as well as news and events from all the parishes and institutions.

The newly designed website for the Bengaluru archdiocese www.bangalorearchdiocese.org was inaugurated on January 14, 2018. Earlier the website www.bangalorearchdiocese.com had to be changed for the reason being that Church is a non-profit institution. Since then the new website has been featuring the current news items with a dynamic outlook while the archdiocesan information has been clustered in proper categories to streamline the flow of information.

It also features from time to time the productions of Archdiocesan Communication Center (ACC) by way of weekly reflections and the other videos focusing on different themes. Thanks to all the archdiocesan priests and the archbishop of Bangalore Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado for their reflections. For the first time ever the live recast of the services from Infant Jesus Shrine and St. Mary’s Basilica have been introduced on the archdiocesan website. Thanks to all the technical team and the viewers.

Archdiocesan Communication Center (ACC) is looking forward to take new initiatives such as Mobile App for the archdiocese of Bangalore, setting up a well equipped studio for multi-media productions and to introduce creative media ministries for the benefit of the people of God. The exclusive Mobile App is hoped to bring in more traffic that the Bengaluru archdiocese gains more visibility of its continuous and strenuous efforts of proclaiming the Good News. The App is expected to be available both on iOS and Playstore in the next few weeks.
