Archbishop Participates in Guru Poornima Celebrations at Ravindra Kalakshetra

Bangalore, 03rd July 2022 : Saints Shishunala Sharifa and Guru Govinda Bhat Foundation, Bengaluru, organized a music and dance program called “Tatva Rasayana” on account of Guru Poornima at Ravindra Kalakshetra in JC Road.

This program also marked the Birth bi-centenary of the master of “Tatva Padagalu” (Songs of the Soul) Santha Shishunala Sharifa. The program was a tribute to one of the iconic Sufi saints of Karnataka.

Leaders from various religious communities attended the program. Shri. H D Devegowda, former Prime Minister of India, was the Chief Guest for the program. Archbishop Peter Machado of Archdiocese of Bangalore was one of the prominent dignitaries invited to this program.

Speaking at the program, Archbishop Machado said “Firstly we should know and practice our religion. Secondly, we should have interest to know the principles and greatness of other religions. Thirdly, we should give respect to religions, religious scripture and religious leaders. And fourthly, we should be humble and be prudent in what we say.”
